The island Krk is a heaven for bikers and hikers. The island is intermitted with well-arranged and marked bicycle and hiking paths inside the island Krk or along the coast. Bicycle and hiking paths go almost along the whole main road through the island which leads from the Bridge of Krk up to the City of Krk. The paths are of different difficulty levels so that they are appropriate both for professionals as well as for hobby bikers. Decide for yourself if you will pleasantly enjoy the beauty of nature or be active and go till the end of the limits of your endurance. Mountain bikes are also appropriate for research of the land.
The island is for the reason the host of many bicycle events such as “I like autumn – Bodul bike” and “Spring on wheels”.
The hiking paths of island Krk stretch along the island and are 300 km long. They are all neatly marked into the map of bicycle and hiking paths, which we prepared for you and they are available to you for free on pension’s reception. You can see in the same map also the more precise overview of the area Dobrinj. The paths lead through olive groves, hundred-year-old woods, along the sea, and impressive rocky areas, that look sometimes like a moon’s surface.
On the island Krk you can sightsee many tourist attractions like cave Baserujka, ruins of Fort of the Frankopans in the fort Gradec, the remains of the antique town Fulfinum as well as the church of Saint Donat from the 9th century. We also suggest the excursion to the bay Soline well-known for the therapeutic effect of the mud and exploration of the Glagolitic Script tour in Baška.
